Five Of My Favorite Christmas Candy Recipes

When I’m looking for a recipe there’s no place like the tried and true Betty Crocker Cookbook. I remember my grandmother pulling out her old beat up red cookbook and making the most yummy cookies and candies for the holidays. Now that cookbook is online. I have chosen five of my favorite candies to highlight this Christmas season. I hope you enjoy making them as much as I do.

1. Chocolate Truffles

Everyone has their favorite truffle filling. This one is chocolate through and through. Decorate your truffles with icing or nuts and pile them into a cone shape to resemble a Christmas tree to make a lovely center piece for your table.  GET THE RECIPE

2. Peanut Brittle

Nothing says Christmas around our house like peanut brittle. It’s the only time we make it so it’s become a Christmas tradition. If you want a more airy peanut brittle like the picture above then do not spread the peanut brittle after you pour it onto the foil. This will keep the soda from breaking down and you’ll have a much lighter crunchier peanut brittle.  GET THE RECIPE

3. Peppermint Bark

Peppermint is the flavor of Christmas. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than with this delightful peppermint treat. Add a nice hot cup of cocoa and you’ve got the perfect winter night snack.  GET THE RECIPE

4. Chocolate Toffee

We always had chocolate english toffee at Christmastime. It has always been one of my favorites. This recipe will become a holiday tradition for years to come. GET THE RECIPE

5. Fudge

This is the easiest fudge recipe you’ll find. Even the kids can make it. It’s ready in just five minutes! Make it with or without nuts. GET THE RECIPE
